World Water Day 2021

The United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution in 1992 to declare 22 March annually as ‘World Water Day’ from 1993 onwards.

Water problems

Water management and all hygiene facilities are under pressure worldwide. This can lead to food shortages, depletion of natural resources and land subsidence. The intention is that on this day the member states make the global water problem known to a wide audience. This can be done, for example, by disseminating information about water or organizing events.

Professional Textile Care industry

Within the Professional Textile Care sector, there is a lot of attention for water use all year round and it cannot be said often enough that having it cleaned by a professional textile care provider is five times more sustainable than washing at home. In this way, water alone for instance, can save more than 60 billion liters of drinking water in the Netherlands every year.
