Clinic Textile Care Services nominated for German Innovation Award

With the German Innovation Award, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection awards industrial and scientific engagement to work on climate and environmental protection. For this year, 150 companies with forward-looking products and services have competed for the prize: an amount of 175,000 euros. One of the nominees for this prestigious award is textile care company Klink Textile Pflege-Dienste from Salzgitter.

The company has developed a process to save water, energy and chemicals in the industrial washing processes of jeans production. It saves at least 85 percent fresh water, 70 percent chemicals and 70 percent energy (photovoltaics) in the industrial washing processes of jeans production. With 150 million pairs of jeans produced worldwide every month, 14.1 million cubic meters of fresh water could be saved.
